朋友们，我们还没有从四川汶川“5•12”大地震和台湾“8•8”风灾的伤痛中痊愈，海地大地震的噩耗又呈现在我们面前。
2010年1月12日16时53分（当地时间），位于拉丁美洲的海地共和国发生7.0级里氏大地震。根据国际组织的最新统计数字，海地地震遇难人数的估计已超过20万人。除遇难者外，还有25万人受伤，近150万人无家可归。地震后，估计高达200万名儿童将成为孤儿或与亲人分离。据国际红十字会初步估计，此次大地震将为海地带来多达300万难民。这些灾民，都需要心理援助！
亲爱的朋友们：海地大地震拉近了全地球人的距离。在如此严重的灾害面前，我们都是幸存者！我们必须加入挽救生命和重建心灵家园的工作中！
对于刚发生地震的海地共和国来说，对灾区人员进行紧急救护的同时，就需要进行必要的心理危机干预救助。继后，需要长期跟进的心理援助和心理重建。
灾后心理援助，是一项急迫又长期的工作。从1月13日开始，国际华人医学家心理学家联合会（IACMSP）已着手组织和协调对海地的心理援助工作。目前，IACMSP组织的第一批心理援助资料（英文）已陆续发往海地，对海地灾区的心理卫生医护人员和社会工作师进行心理卫生服务的技术培训。在发送远程培训资料的基础上，3月份将安排第一批北美的心理专家志愿者到灾区进行心理卫生服务，以防治灾后各种心理障碍，尤其是创伤后应激障碍（PTSD）。继后，和对四川“5•12”地震灾区和台湾“8•8”风灾灾区一样，IACMSP将长期为海地灾区提供心理援助、心理卫生服务、PTSD治疗的技术资料和相关设备。
IACMSP呼吁我们在30个国家和地区的5000多位会员，呼吁我们《华人心理健康报》的数万订户，呼吁我们在医学界、心理学界、社会学界的各位同仁和朋友，参加IACMSP组织的海地大地震后心理援助志愿者活动！

My dear friends, here comes the sad news of big earthquake from Haiti before we get fully recovered from the "5 • 12" earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan and the "8 • 8" hurricane in Taiwan.
On 16:53 January 12, 2010 (LST), the Republic of Haiti in Latin America was befallen big earthquake of 7.0 on the Richter magnitude scale. According to the latest statistics from international organizations, the estimated number of earthquake victims in Haiti is more than 200 thousand. In addition, 250 thousand people are injured and nearly 1.5 million people are homeless. After the earthquake, the estimated number of children who will become orphans or separate from their family would be 2 million. According to the preliminary estimates of International Red Cross organization, there would be as many as three million refugees in Haiti because of this earthquake. These people are waiting for psycho and mental health aid.
Dear friends: Haiti earthquake has shortened the distance of the whole world. Facing such an unprecedented time of crisis of disaster, we are all survivors! We should join life-saving and rebuild homes soul efforts.
While making the emergency aid to people in the affected area after the earthquake, the Republic of Haiti also need to take the psycho crisis intervention and assistance. Thereafter, long-term follow-up psycho and mental health aid, and psycho recovery are needed.
Post-disaster psycho and mental health aid is an urgent and long-term task. Since January 13, the International Association of Chinese Medical Scientists and Psychologists (IACMSP) has began to organize and co-ordinate psycho and mental health aid in Haiti. At present, IACMSP selective first batch of psycho and mental health aid information (in English) has been successively sent to Haiti. These documents offer necessary technical training of mental health services for the mental health professionals and social workers in Haiti disaster area. Besides offering training materials, IACMSP will also send the first group of psycho and mental health experts & volunteers to Haiti to provide mental health services to prevent and to treat a variety of psychological problems and mental disorders, especially post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Then, as what IACMSP have done under "5 • 12" earthquake in SiChuan and "8 • 8" hurricane in Taiwan, IACMSP will provide long-term the technical information and related equipment of psycho and mental health aid, mental health services, PTSD treatment to Haiti people in affected areas.
IACMSP called on more than 5000 members in 30 countries and regions, called on tens of thousands of subscribers of "Chinese Psychology and Health Times" , called on our colleagues and friends in the medicine, psychology and sociology fields to participate Haiti post-earthquake volunteer activities organized by IACMSP.
All the mental health experts and clinical psychologists who live in North America are very welcome to join the IACMSP volunteer team of psycho and mental health aid.
